Why I do this

I blame it on a passion for problem solving. I love taking the challenges of a business and aligning it with what the user needs to make their lives easier. User Experience is about so much more than crafting pretty interfaces. It is about providing solutions for people’s needs in a way that doesn't force them to figure out how to use a system, or learn a new way of doing things. My goal is to make things easy and intuitive so they only have to think about what they are doing, not how can I get it done. The true goal of UX is to create a harmony between people and the tools they use.

The last thing we need nowadays is to spend too much time in training, or reading a manual trying to figure out new software. Time is precious.  If we invest, what is comparatively a moment in people, to watch what they do, how they work, identify their goals and challenges, we can save time, frustration and even money. And not just for the application, but to discover their true needs. Only then can a solution be truly constructed in a way that is useful and beneficial to meet customer satisfaction as well as a business goals.

How I work

UX is where all my skill sets of design, development, and business intersect. I apply all to the UX process from end to end.

Applying creativity and imagination to UX and solving user problems is what I love. I enjoy the act of creation and innovation being used to build things that are intuitive and pleasurable to use.

UX is not an act of spontaneous creativity. By working with driven business innovators, we can craft compelling solutions. Working with these people and understanding their goals and needs defined the structure of our UX framework.

Meeting with people who you hope to become your users allows us to inform the business on how their goals can be achieved. A true understanding of our user needs, processes and motivations provides the guidance on how we can deliver an elegant and useful product.
